Alexandra Palace
Our second Nightrider™ start point was originally built in 1863 to commemorate the then Princess of Wales – Alexandra of Denmark. Situated at one of the highest points in London, 'Ally Pally' (as it's referred to by locals) was famously used for the first regular BBC television broadcasts back in 1936. Although the radio mast is still in use today, the palace is now predominantly an exhibition centre and music venue, also housing one of London's most popular ice rinks.
