ZSL London Zoo

London Zoo, opened in 1826, is world’s oldest scientific zoo. It houses over 700 hundred species of animal. It is currently in the throws of a renovation project to replace all its cages with more natural, landscaped environments. In 2005, the Zoo briefly held an exhibition entitled ‘the Human Zoo,’ where 8 volunteers were placed in on display to highlight man’s impact on the natural world.
